Our first party at the new venue, in May 2026

Yes, our next event, on 19th September, will mark the 16th anniversary of the very first Candlelight Club. I worked out that I’ve put on more than 320 of these parties, but they are constantly evolving—and in fact this one takes place at new venue. We’ve only done one event there, back in May, when the place itself had only just opened, under new ownership and after massive refurbishment, so it’s still evolving too. We’ll have live music from the Red Hot Rhythm Revival, making their Candlelight Club debut, along with hosting by Eva Von Schnippisch and burlesque from Miss Jolie Papillon. Elsewhere you’ll find our tarot reader Lucius and Michelle Krausz’s pop-up vintage jewellery shop. And as if all that weren’t momentous enough, it’ll actually be my own birthday too!
