Yes, believe it or not the Candlelight Club is eight years old this month—eight years of dodging the law to bring you the finest illicit hooch and the hottest jazz bands so you can Charleston the night away. 

At our birthday party we'll have live music from Anglo-Norwegian favourites the Swing'It Dixieband, who have been delighting at swing dance events and jazz festivals all over Europe, even supporting New Orleans legend Dr John. Their goal is to bring the party music of the 1920s speakeasies back to the people in their own playful style (to which end they have been producing series of videos covering Disney songs with a Dixieland vibe).

Hosting the party will be capricious cabaret cove Champagne Charlie and there will be vintage DJing from Jojo of the Bee’s Knees.

Come and help us celebrate (if the cops don't catch us first)…
